Wow, here is the latest video of Christmas lights set to music. Unique version of Amazing Grace, AWESOME!
News and photos from our Miniature Horse and Tunis Sheep farm are published here as well as on our websites at www.unicornerfarm.com and www.tunis-sheep.com. We love our minis and we think you will too. We added some pretty red-headed sweeties to the farm...a flock of registered Tunis sheep. We also have a Quarter Horse mother and daughter and a draft "rescue" mare. Three curious llamas round out the big animals. And last but not least, two inside cats and two outside!

A Pony for Christmas?
Our 2008 miniature horse foals are all weaned and ready to go to new homes. We have 3 colts available that will make wonderful pets or driving horses. This photo is of Koby and Maui Waui. It was Maui's first trailer ride and visit to a new place. He is starting to get his winter coat but will shed off to a beautiful, rich red next spring. His mane and tail will stay blonde.
I will be updating the 2008 foals page on our website at www.unicornerfarm.com soon, so you can see each of the foals and other horses we have available.
Quick Trip to New York
My friend Ann and I took a short vacation and visited Westchester County this past weekend. We were both to judge the fantastic Westchester Feline Club's annual cat show on Sunday but went a little early so we could do a little sightseeing.
We rented a car and drove around, though cold and windy, we had a great time visiting the Lyndhurst Castle. There were lots of geese grazing on the manicured grounds.
Next we drove to the community of Sleepy Hollow and wandered through the huge cemetery!
That was very interesting, lots of famous people buried there, including Washington Irving who wrote about the Headless Horseman.
We also went to a nice little church bazaar and picked up some homebaked goodies and Christmas ornaments.
The show was wonderful as usually with over 225 cats entered. Newer breeds like the Kurilian Bobtail and Savannah were exhibited. We missed getting to meet the men of RescueInk, a cat rescue group that were there on Saturday. Visit http://www.rescueink.org/ to read about their group.

Counting Down to Christmas
My favorite time of the year!
Here it is, already the day before Thanksgiving, and in a month Christmas will be over. Let's all try to make the most of this glorious season and celebrate Christ's birth joyously and to the fullest.
Last year I added many ways to be a "Christmas Angel". I hope to continue that and find new ones to share for 2008.

I didn't know that....God's accuracy
I just received this email, I don't know who wrote it, but it sure has some interesting observations.
God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs.
For example:
-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
-the eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days;
-the eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven).
The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them to a profitable end.
God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation!
God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains.
-Each watermelon has an even number of strips on the rind.
-Each orange has an even number of segments.
-Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
-Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.
The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six times to the minute in all kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hundredfold - all even numbers.
God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linneus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!
Thus the Lord in His wonderful grace can arrange the life that is entrusted to His care in such a way that it will carry out His purposes and plans, and will be fragrant with His presence. Only the God-planned life is successful. Only the life given over to the care of the Lord is Safe.

Rye grass is planted
Bob was able to get the rye grass seed out around the new stock tank with the help of his new seeder/fertilizer. He has always had to hand seed areas where we needed ground cover before. He said this was MUCH better, he was able to put out several bags in a short time. Hopefully we will get a nice rain tomorrow so it will start growing.
I can't wait to take some "After" photos, but it might be a while before we get enough rain to fill it.
